Service: Parent Training and Information Center
Description:

 

Parent Training and Information Center can assist you:
  • to learn about early intervention services for children from birth to three years of age,
  • inform you about special education services for school aged children,
  • with transition issues for students who will be leaving the educational system and are preparing for the world of work, adult services or college,
  • with information about resources, best practices, specific disabilities,
  • make parent to parent connections, and connect with training opportunities and conferences: parents; students with disabilities; special education professionals,
  • offer free workshops on special education rights and responsibilities and related topics,
  • with our Toll-free help line about special education problems or concerns, legal issue information, and to request other training opportunities,
  • Regional coordinators in the North, South, East, West, and Central areas of the state.
