Resources & Education

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another;” Romans 12:15-16"

"The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
Psalms 9:9

The Resource branch of Jubilee House exists to provide helpful information to all members of our community, both people in need of assistance and people looking for information to assist others in time of need. We are a Christ-centered organization, and will strive to show Christ’s love to all who come for help, walking along side them in their journey.

We have two modes of disseminating information. First, we will have a resource book, and an on-line database, that contain a comprehensive listing of resources available to those living in this area. These resources are also categorized by services, making it easier to locate needed resources for all.  Secondly, we will create and maintain a filing system of informational handouts/pamphlets, on a broad range of categories, that will be available to the public. Online resources and books for each topic will be among these handouts. Also this resource center will maintain a small library of books and other resources that can be checked out by the public.

Our Educational branch of this agency is closely tied to the Resources Center in that it is another way that information can be given and received. We will be offering educational opportunities through small, practical seminars and classes on a variety of topics. Most classes will be free and available to the entire community, and led by volunteer instructors. Through these classes skills can be gained, information learned, and connections made between people, helping to strengthen community in our town.

"Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received." 1 Peter 4:8-10
