Service: Counseling Services

Counseling services provided to aid SIUE students maintain good mental health. Counseling services are located in the Student Success Center, lower level in the Counseling and Health Services Suite, 0222. 

  • Part-time psychiatrist on staff to assist with medication as needed.
  • Counseling for: stress, anxiety, depression, academic difficulties, poor self-esteem, relationship problems, suicidal tendencies, sexual assault/abuse, drug or alcohol abuse, eating disorders, goal setting
  • Sexual assault prevention
  • Sexual assault survivors support group
  • Free alcohol screening
  • Resources are available on website to be printed or read for various topics/issues including those listed above and Academic survival skills, Center for spirituality and sustainability, Depression, Eating disorders, General psychological information, Grief, Personal development, Relationship issues, Self esteem, Suicide.



Free for SIUE students.
