Services: | Service: Boy Scouts of America Council 312 Organizes Scouting for boys and girls(ages 5-20) in the Greater St. Louis Area. Cub Scouts (ages 5 [kindergarten] to 10) - can be split between a "girl pack" and a "boy pack" or be co-ed in a "family pack." BSA (ages 10 1/2 or 11 to 17 or 18) has groups made of all girls or all boys. Venturing (ages 13 or 14 to 20) groups are co-ed. There are also Exploring programs (ages 13 to 20) that get students exploring career possibilities. "Scouting programs and outdoor adventures give young people the opportunity and freedom to explore a world beyond the boundaries of everyday life. It presents them with chances to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence and develop leadership skills. These experiences not only help Scouts while they are young but also stay with them throughout their adult lives, growing into exceptional men and women who respect their family, community, religion, country, and themselves." - quote from the website.
