Services:

Service: Crisis Center Services
Description:

PAVE is a counseling and crisis center for victims of domestic violence.

  • Counseling
  • Emergency shelter (they are not a shelter, but can coordinate with other agencies)
  • Court Advocacy (orders of protection per IDBA)
  • Aid for food or other short term assisstance
  • All State Financial Grant Program for those in domestic violence
  • Batterer's Group for those in Bond County and other counties outside of the eligible counties listed below: it is a protocal group and satisfies the requirements for court mandated programs for batterers.  Again, they will take referrals from Bond and other counties for the men's batterer group

Meetings for the batterer's groups:

  • Mondays and Saturdays in Mt. Vernon at the Lutheran Child and Family Services
  • Wednesday nights in Carlyle at the Community Resource Center
  • Tuesday night in Vandalia at the Community Resource Center
  • Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in Centralia at the Community Resource Center

Note about groups:  groups are 24 weeks long and 2 hours per group.  Call the Centralia phone number 618-533-7233 for times and for more information.

 


Charges:

All services free for victims and their children.  Fee for the Batterer's group based on a sliding scale Call for more detailed information.


Eligiblity:

They service: Jefferson, Fayette, Marion, Clinton, and Washington Counties.  For those that need help with domestic violence in the home or in relationships-both abusers and their victims.
